Closed-Type BRT Muzzle Brake for SVD
Ensure Perfect Alignment Before Firing
Proper alignment is crucial when installing a closed-type muzzle brake to prevent bullet collisions with chamber walls. Typically, weapon threading is precise, allowing the device to function flawlessly upon installation. However, issues often arise from the 24x1.5R threading found on AK-74/AK-74M/Saiga-MK models and similar firearms. If misalignment is detected, carefully file down the edge of the front sight base (DIY or via a gunsmith) to ensure even contact with the inner wall of the muzzle brake.
Refer to the diagram below for correct installation. View from the front by removing the bolt, aligning the breech end of the barrel with a light source, or inserting a white sheet of paper.
