The T-34 production at UZTM began in September 1942 and continued until August 1943. During this period, 731 T-34 tanks were manufactured for the Red Army. An interesting fact: when the foundry could no longer meet the increasing demand for cast turrets, UZTM engineers designed a new stamped turret using a 10,000-ton press. From October 1942 to March 1943, 2050 stamped turrets were produced, some installed on UZTM's own tanks and others sent to the Kirov Plant in Chelyabinsk.
