Polish Guard Lancers 1809-1815: Recreate the grandeur of Napoleonic cavalry with this historical model kit.
Historical Background: When Napoleon entered Warsaw, he was escorted by a unit of Polish noblemen. Impressed by their discipline and skill, in 1807 he ordered the creation of a regiment of light Polish cavalry. These lancers, armed with sabers, pistols, carbines, and long lances, fought in Spain and Russia. Even during his exile to Elba, Napoleon was accompanied by 120 Polish lancers.
