The mat is made of closed-pored foamed material ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), which has a high density and high resistance to breaking and bending loads (better than that of polyethylene foam), thermal insulation qualities and the ability to retain its shape and flexibility when cooled.

EVA mats also differ from polyurethane foam mats by their high resistance to compression (elasticity), which, combined with the small size of the cells, allows you to reduce convection and get better thermal insulation properties.

Due to the small thickness of this mat, we recommend using it at plus temperatures or as an additional layer.

The "Flex"mat with a laminated coating and cellular corrugation is compactly folded "accordion" with reinforced joints between the sections.

When the "accordion" is folded, adjacent cells are inserted into each other, forming a compact package (11x15x50 cm).

The corrugated surface increases the thickness of the layer between the lying person and the ground, in addition, the air filling the recesses increases the thermal insulation of the mat.

In addition, corrugated mats reduce the degree of "dampness" of sleeping bags, since condensate collects in the recesses of the mat, without being absorbed into the sleeping bag.

Pleasant to the touch, dense mats hide the irregularities of the relief in the tent and become comfortable seats at halts.

It should be remembered, however, that EVA mats are much more susceptible to high temperatures than polyurethane foam.

Prolonged exposure to the hot sun, proximity to the fire, cigarette ash or fire embers can cause them to deform.
