Historical Background:
The K-141 "Kursk" was built under Project 949A and designed to destroy aircraft carrier and missile groups of potential adversaries. Commissioned into the Northern Fleet on January 20, 1995, it tragically sank on August 12, 2000.

Main Armament:
- 24 launchers equipped with supersonic cruise missiles from the P-700 "Granit" complex (ZM-45), capable of carrying both high-explosive (700 kg) and nuclear warheads (500 kg).
- Six torpedo tubes: two 650 mm and four 533 mm (total of 18 torpedoes).
